Module 3: Media Preparation and Sterilization
- Various Methods for Solid (LB Agar) and Liquid Media Preparation (LB Broth)
- Sterilization Techniques for Media.
Module 4: Microorganism Handling Techniques
- Microbes Isolation and Screening Procedures from environmental sources
- Serial Dilution Method
- Pure Culture Techniques (Streaking, Pouring & Plating)
- Physical identification of microbes

Module 5: Microbial Staining Techniques
- Gram Staining
- Acid fast stain
- Endospore Staining
- Capsular Staining
- Flagellar Staining
Module 6: Bacterial Growth Analysis
- Growth Kinetics
- Bacterial Growth Curve Analysis
- Antibiotics Sensitivity Testing

Module 7: Booster module (Basics of Bioinformatics+Microbiology)
- A tour to Biological Databases such as National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), Ensembl etc and exploring them for microbial nucleic acid sequence retrieval
- Sequence Alignments: Introduction, Concept of Alignment, Sequence alignment using Basic local alignment search tool (Blast), Multiple Sequence Alignment (MSA) by CLUSTALW, Scoring Matrices, Percent Accepted Mutation (PAM), Blocks of Amino Acid Substitution Matrix (BLOSUM)
- Molecular Phylogeny: Methods of Phylogeny, Software for Phylogenetic Analyses, Consistency of Molecular Phylogenetic Prediction
